On a cleanse and dinner out...

I started Jillian Michael's Cleanse on Monday, not really feeling different, but here's hoping that'll change at some point.

We might be going to the Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant. Hopefully tonight, maybe not though. I really want to try their lemon pepper salmon. Sounds delish.

I'm done with school, just waiting for my test scores from the NCCT. And looking for a job. Anyone need a phlebotomist in the Chicagoland area??

Only 120 Days until my 30th.

So there are only 120 days until my 30th birthday. Only 4 months. Kinda scary. I've started phlebotomy school, I 'graduate' tomorrow. So I'll have my phlebotomy certification, my CPR cert and next Thurday I'll be taking the NCCT test to become a nationally certified phlebotomist. I'll hopefully have a job by mid-October.

I've lost 30 pounds. 25 of which was my Jenny Craig goal and the extra 5 was my personal goal. I bought myself a necklace for hitting it. It was only, $9 but I'm pretty proud of my self.

Tom and I took his sister and her 'boyfriend' out on Saturday night. NEVER again will I go out with his sister. She was a complete bitch the whole time and now isn't talking to Tom becuase he hugged my sister...We went to see The Final Destination(Stupid!!), to Navy Pier, where we caught the fireworks. Never been down there to see them, very cool. And then it was off to my sister's bar, :: Loft 610 ::, which was AWESOME. Ihave her planning my 30th there. I really, really loved it. And she's a rocking bartender too. So let the countdown begin!!

I'm starting school (again!) today...Stars Academy Phlebotomy--Hoping that it can get me into a hospital or office that would be willing to pay for me to continue my education. Still on JC. I've lost 25 pounds since 4/25/09. 5 pounds past my goal. Everyone is saying I look great, but I still feel like I can go a bit more.

I am doing breakfasts on my own. I've found some great cereals that fit in with my menu.
I add a yogurt and some fruit to them and eat them all mixed up. Alos, separating them into snack sized baggies after I buy them saves time and I know exactly how much I'm getting.

Tattoos...

I have 7 tattoos.

#1 is my tramp stamp. It's going to be covered with a black koi fish at some point. Like this:But in black, obviously, since the tramp stamp is black and blue.

#2 is a horrible 'tattoo party' tat, looks like this:

Without the moon and way faded...Have to get it redone, or covered.

#3 was drawn up for me by Jeremy, when he worked at Flesh Gear in Rockdale:

#4 is a koi done by Jeremy as well, it shifted after I lost weight. It was on my hip, now it's moving to my back:

#5&6 are birds on my feet that really need to be redone, bad, bad story:

#7 was done by my maybe BIL Miles from Sixth Street Tattoo in Coshocton, Ohio:

Moral if the story, make sure you want something on your body for the rest of your life and that the artist is an artist, not a someone that just in it for the extra $.

I'm down to 122:) Surpassed my goal, but I'm still going to continue on JC. I'd like to get down a bit more, just for my own personal satisfaction.

On another note, I'm going back to school. Something in the medical field--hopefully, then, I'll always have a job, not to mention some skills;)

Daley College has been completely unhelpful, especially their bitches in the student center. Really rude and condescending. I'm just trying to get info. It kills me, I don't know your policies/procedures, that's what I'm here to find out. Being rude to me isn't going to help either of us. Just going to aggrevate me until I snap at you and then neither of us is going to be happy.

Tom said something to me that kinda got to me, but not really. And I quote, "I really love you, but you are a bitch."

Well, yes dear, I am. But atleast you still love me;)

Wednesday, LP Zoo and the HEAT...

It's been SUPER hot in Chicago these past 2 days, even having heat warnings--The kids still love being outside though...Lot's of sunscreen and water...

I ran Week 6 Day 3, which is 25 minutes of running with no breaks. Thought I was going to die--but I did it:)

Ry's started play camp this week and he really likes it...He's going to the Lincoln Park Zoo tomorrow. Next week they're going bowling. For the little amount we paid, we're getting a hell of a deal...

K has to go to the orthodontist for a consult--her mouth is too small for all her teeth, so she's probably going to ned braces soon...

Happy father's day!

I was up 2 oz at my last weigh-in, which sucked! I'm still doing the same things, so I don't know why...whatever, I'm going to run everyday this week, weather permitting. Rain is not my friend...

Going by my Aunt's today, maybe FINALLY getting my tat today...who knows.

My phone died on Sunday, so I'm using an old razor....which is a HUGE change...no internet--no email...Tom did order me a Samsung Instinct™, OK, well, I ordered it, but I was trying to give him some credit. I'm also going to my friend Shannon, who works at Orbit Salon to get my hair done. Can't wait! My friend Angela's father passed away, it's sad and scary--It means we're all getting older--What can you do, except be there?

Worst sleep ever last night:( We were going to go to the zoo(again!) today, but Kate is sick(again!!), so were home. Maybe take a run to Menards and Target, but nothing much planned other than that.

So we didn't go to dinner, I had the JC Chicken Fajitas, I added cheese and made them into quesadillas.

We did go see The Hangover, which was freaking hilarious. Not good for anyone under 16 or 17, but super funny.

Probably going to hit the zoo again. Having the pass rocks.

Weigh in today was great--I'm down 1.5 more pounds for a total of 12.9 pounds--only 7.8 more to go to hit my Jenny goal. I think I'm going to keep going with it until I'm happy with myself. I'm getting older and I have 2 kids, my weight moved and it lays in different places than it did when I was 19...:-)

Breakfast: Frosted Oats Cereal with Cherry Vanilla Yogurt
Lunch: Chicken Sandwich--I added salsa I found at Trader Joes-Peach--Yum!
Dinner: Lasagna
Snack: Cheese Curls-haven't had them yet, hope they're good

Tomorrow is our 9th wedding anniversary, and we're going to go to dinner--ALONE:)) so I have to figure out something--still. My JCC said a 4 oz petite filet and some veggies, and if we want to share a dessert, that's OK too.

TGIFridays and anniversary....

So last night I went to go see an advance screening of The Proposal, but the line was sick and we didn't want to wait. So we went to TGIFridays--I had no idea what to order, so turkey burger and veggies it was. Came home and weighed myself and was up 2 lbs?!? Whatever.

Friday is my 9 year wedding anniversary and Tom wants to take me out to dinner. Any ideas where to go?

Hey all--I'm Nina. Mom of 2. Wife of 1. Finally losing some of the baby weight I've been holding on to since the boy was born--4 years and 3 months ago(today!). Just trying to keep myself accountable(good luck!) and to have something to hopefully show the girl(she's 8), that if I did it, she can do ANYTHING!

So here goes:

Dinner: BBQ Chicken Pizza

I'm going to http://www.atriptothemovies.com tonight for an advance viewing of The Proposal. So, my snack, who knows, probably some popcorn.

So far weight loss:
Week 1: -4.4 pounds
Week 2: -1
Week 3: -2.4
Week 4: -.8
Week 5: -2.8

Total: -11.4 which is 1.4 pounds less than my halfway goal.

I'm also 'training' for a 5k, using the Couch-to-5K running plan. I start Week 4 Day 1 tomorrow!
